Go North! performs an eclectic range of songs from different genres and eras. We appreciate music culture in all its strange forms, so we seek out the most interesting, most appealing, sometimes surprising songs from past and present: classic rock (The Band, The Rolling Stones), New Wave (Elvis Costello, U2), contemporary singer/songwriter (Bob Schneider, Paul Thorn, Lucinda Williams). Our sound is shaped by a shared interest in pleasing tones, good energy, and a willingness to support the occasion.

As players, we all perform with well-established bands in northern Michigan, but we found ourselves wanting another outlet, another opportunity to collaborate. That desire evolved in Go North!
